I Love Reading
Over the past months I have been reading poetry and books out loud to an empty room. Words fill the air with a powerful energy that allows me to experience an deeper understanding of the narrative and a vivid sense of being with the poet or author.
The definition of a reading room is simply a quiet room in a library or museum where you can read and study. I believe that each of us has many reading rooms and are not confirmed to a singular description. With a book in hand, you are in a reading room, whether on a park bench or on a jet 30,000 feet in the air.
Welcome to my virtual reading room.
O! let my books be then the eloquence And dumb presagers of my speaking breast, Who plead for love, and look for recompense, More than that tongue that more hath more express’d. O! learn to read what silent love hath writ: To hear with eyes belongs to love’s fine wit.
